Deadline: 10 August, 2024

• Directors, who are from different countries or the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan may participate in the International Competition section of the festival;
• The competition covers nominations for fiction films, documentaries and animated movies;
• In order to submit a film to the  Festival you need to register on the www.filmfreeway.com platform (https://filmfreeway.com/bakushortfest)
• Presented films must be produced in 2023-2024; 
• The film should not exceed 30 minutes. 
• Films should be sent in English with subtitles or audio translation. In addition, the dialogue and the text of each film should be translated into English and presented in writing;
• Deadline for submission - August 10, 2024. 
• The films submitted are reviewed and included in the competition program by the Selection Commission consisting of the people appointed by the Organizing Committee;
• The list of participated films in the competition will be posted on our website on September 20, 2024.
• Films from the festival programme can be shown only in non-commercial presentations related to the festival;
• Films will be judged by an international jury;
• The winners of the festival are awarded with Golden Pomegranate, special prize and diploma.
• Winners of the competition will be awarded in this nominations:
• - Best Film  (Golden Pomegranate and diploma)
  - Best Documentary Film (Golden Pomegranate and diploma)
  - Best Animated Film (Golden Pomegranate and diploma)
  - Best Film Director (special prize and diploma)
  Winners of the "Asian Talents":
• - Best Film (special prize and diploma)
• Special Jury Prize
• Diploma of fhe Young Cinematographers Center of Azerbaijan 
• Awards will be presented at the closing ceremony of the festival.
